3d character creation

I've been fooling around with the skin modifier tool in Blender. this allows one to more or less sketch out basic mesh forms quickly.

Also starting to get into the sculpting tools in Blender.
This allows you to virtually scupt details onto a mesh. Takes a little getting used to, but the possibilities are endless

Futureman 2.0

I've been working with Daz studio to improve my characters. It's kind of an annoying program to use in some ways, but when it works it makes for cool looking characters ready for animating. Here's the reworked Futureman 2.0

Other random 3d art stuff

Random highlights from 3d graphics class

Back to the Blog

This year I'm really going to try and keep this thing updated, so let's just jump on in...

I'm all about the 3d these days. I recently finished a 3d modeling class at gcc. some highlights below::

Since the class has ended I've been continuing to develope the concept that emerged as I worked on the final working toward an animated version complete with musical soundtrack by Amorphous Jones.

Karma

I finally made it down to Karma cafe to see how my art looks on display there. Have to say I'm pretty happy with the placement, Karma's right on main street and you can see some of the pieces through the window walking by.

121010 at the Wall Talk Gallery

Participated in my first gallery showing. excellent location in downtown Northampton. We stopped by early in the evening to check out the scene and it was fun. We drew significant traffic with friends coming by to check it out. It felt like a positive start to perhaps a more creative life. I'm feeling like 2011 could be a good year for creative pursuits coming together for me and my peeps.

Waiting for Meltdown

Here's a painting from the late 90's. Must have had enviromental apocalypse on my mind.

Memescape Alpha

One in a long line of interior landscapes. This was one of my first efforts of combining hand drawn elements in photoshop.
